Graduating college is one of those milestones that deserves more than a quick phone snapshot on the lawn, and that’s exactly what brought this session to us. We shot at Toscana Country Club in Palm Springs, a setting that gave us clean architectural lines, manicured greenery, and soft open shade — ideal conditions for portraits that feel polished without feeling stiff.
The goal with any graduation portrait session is to walk the line between celebratory and professional: images relaxed enough to feel like a genuine milestone moment, but sharp enough to double as a headshot or a keepsake print worth framing. We moved between a few spots around the club to vary the backdrop — some warmer and more textured, some cleaner and more neutral — so the final set has real range.
It’s a session type we’re always glad to shoot. Graduation marks the start of a new chapter, and having real portraits from that moment — not just a cap-toss photo from the ceremony — is something people tend to be grateful for years down the line.
