Jono is based in Los Angeles, but for this session we brought him out to Palm Springs — a change of scenery that gave his portraits a completely different feel than a typical LA backdrop. He was after images that would work well across social media alongside a fresh, more personal portrait collection.
Shooting outside of someone’s home city tends to bring a certain ease to a session; there’s less pressure, more curiosity about the new setting, and it shows up in the photos. Palm Springs’ warm light and clean architectural lines gave us plenty to play with, and we had a great time working with Jono throughout the shoot.
The result is a collection that feels current and easy — portraits built to hold up equally well as a profile photo, a social post, or simply a nice set of images to have on hand.
