Swisstrax makes modular flooring tiles that snap together without adhesive, and their faux-wood line is built to give a garage, showroom, or living space the warmth of real wood flooring without any of the upkeep. That’s a tricky thing to sell through a photo — the whole appeal is that it doesn’t look like plastic, so the images have to prove it.
Our job was straightforward but exacting: capture the texture, the grain pattern, and the way the tiles interlock cleanly enough that a shopper scrolling through an online listing believes what they’re looking at. That meant getting in close on seams and surface texture, then pulling back for wider shots that show how the modular pieces read as one continuous floor once they’re installed.
Ecommerce product photography lives or dies on that kind of detail. A flooring product especially needs to convince someone through a screen that it’ll look and feel a certain way underfoot, and that’s exactly the gap good product photography is meant to close.
