If you know Palm Springs history, you know the name Riviera — now rebranded as Margaritaville Resort, but still carrying the DNA of the hotel that once served as a favorite hideaway for Elvis Presley and the Rat Pack back in the 1960s. Designed in the spirit of old Las Vegas, the property still has that unmistakable mid-century glamour running through its bones, even after a full interior renovation brought it into the present, celebrating the era of Frank Sinatra, Elvis, and Dean Martin along the way.
That renovation came with a completely revamped food and beverage program, and the resort brought our team in to photograph roughly twenty signature dishes and drinks for their website, social media, printed menus, and the screens running throughout the property. It’s the kind of shoot built for precision — clean plating, careful lighting, and getting every dish looking exactly as good on camera as it does on the table.
Food photography like this lives or dies on the details: the condensation on a cocktail glass, the steam still rising off a plate, the color and texture that make a dish look like something you want to order the second you see it. We can’t send the smell through the screen, unfortunately — for that, a visit to Palm Springs is still required.
