For this project we teamed up with Saks Fifth Avenue in Palm Desert and Palm Springs Style magazine to give a lineup of accessories the full editorial treatment. Each piece got its own full-page spread — the kind of styling and lighting that turns a handbag or a set of jewelry into something that reads as aspirational rather than transactional.
Editorial product work like this calls for a different eye than a straightforward catalog shot. There’s more room to play with composition, negative space, and mood, since the goal isn’t just to document the product but to make a reader stop flipping the page. Clean backgrounds, considered angles, and lighting that flatters texture and shine all mattered here, since luxury accessories live or die by the details.
