The Sutton family made La Quinta their vacation spot for the year, and while they were staying at La Quinta Resort, they carved out time for a refreshed set of family portraits. It’s one of our favorite kinds of sessions — a family already in vacation mode, relaxed and easy in front of the camera because there’s nowhere else they need to be.
With two little ones along for the trip, there was no shortage of personality to work with. Kids that age rarely hold still or hold a pose, which usually works in a session’s favor — some of the best family portraits come from the moments between the posed ones, when everyone’s just being themselves.
The result is a set of portraits that feels exactly like what it was: a happy family on a desert getaway, captured candidly enough to still look like them a few years from now.
